We can guess why one defendant is granted anonymity. He may be awaiting trial on another indictment. If the new jury panel have seen his picture or recognise him by name or other details, the jurors might be prejudiced in hearing the case.

Why not deport him immediately to Afghanistan. We have now helped establish a quasi Western democracy so there is none of the sob stories to worry about.
