Most of us remember Mick Philpott the father of 17 children, but regardless of his unconventional life style, what could the reason be for someone to start this fire which killed 5 innocent children and left another one in a critically condition in hospital?

The woman arrested seems to be the girlfriend who was living with them till recently, and he had said nasty things about on facebook.

Until recently he was living with his wife AND mistress. The mistress (mother of 5 of his 17 children) left and the split was acrimonious. Reading between the lines, she is the woman who has been arrested.

If the rumours are true and it's this chap's mistress, there are other avenues that could've been explored.

I find it hard to believe that some people would ignore the fact 5 children have died .
It doesn't matter what opinion you have on their Fathers lifestyle does it?
