What on earth were the parents thinking, letting a 4 year old go on a ride like the Tomb Blaster.

No doubt they will start blaming everyone else except themselves.

I've taken the liberty to look up the ride rules:

Tomb Blaster Ride Restrictions

Anyone under 1.1 metre must be accompanied by an adult.
its clearly the venue to blame for this awful accident.. and the poor little girl is very seriously ill.. and may not make it - or make a full recovery...
An awful ending to a fun day out that hundreds of families all over the UK were also doing!
Em, do you even know what the ride is?
Dont know if she was old or tall enough but Tomb Blaster doesnt sounds like a little kids ride
yes i do. Read the blurb.

It's just one of those stupid little train type things where you shoot 'guns' at things.

Besides which, that is all irrlevant as she wasn't on the ride when she fell. She was in a queue.
em, the blurb says "a fresh, attention grabbing adventure that can be enjoyed by all the family"
Does anyone know how the child is doing. Last I heard she was in a critical condition.
jno, well she has been seriously injured, negligence by those who are responsible for the safety of the people who use it, let us see the parents sue.
last I heard she had multiple injuries inc internal bleeding and broken jaw.. and was critically ill
The parents kept their side of the deal by following the rules. If their child is left disabled (god forbid) because of the accident then they should sue to pay for any care she might need.

I hope she recovers fully soon.
The venue is at fault, my kids will always run in front of me if we are going on a ride, it's a natural thing to do.
We don't know that the parent were planning to let the child go on the ride.

For all we know, she and mum were going to stand outside the ride, waiting for dad and uncle Dave to go on it. Too many conclusions being jumped to here.

The only thing that's curious about this story is how the plank came to be missing? Did it break in the few minutes between visitors walking along it? Did it give way under the weight of the little child in question?
if you are standing in a queue, chances are you are going to go on it. Otherwise you would stand elsewhere.
we like, don't like queuing, but still do it.
I've waited in a queue with my kids when they weren't going on a ride. If you don't do that the adults/older ones have to queue twice.
Why does it even matter of she was going on the ride?
It doesn't....I would have, and have done, took my kids on similar rides at that age. They don't go fast.
so some as usual agree, some do not. She didn't get that far, poor thing
