Something to be proud of
Despite the austerity measures and recession we are still the country most likely to grant asylum to people in genuine danger.
// Some 14,360 immigrants were given asylum within the UK in 2011. The figure was the third successive rise in successful claims in the UK and an increase of 41 per cent since 2008. //

// UKIP leader Nigel Farage said: ‘Asylum seekers come to the UK because we have long history of looking after people extremely well in this country.
‘We also speak English, the second language most people are likely to learn whichever part of the world they originate from.
‘But the number of people granted asylum remain a very small percentage of the total number of immigrants coming to Britain.’ //
Why is it that some people are not proud of this fact?

It's well known amounst the hard of thought that the outside world is literally full of tolerant liberal regiemes who would not dream of hurting their civillian populations because of their, race religion or political views.
Therefore anyone looking for assylum from places like Syria must simply be scammers here to con your hard earned tax money from you.
Much like all those nasty freeloading jews who came over here trying to get away from that nice man with the little moustache

AOG - just because your beloved Daily Mail has you convinced that the Notting Hill Carnival is always full of drugs and stabbings doesn't mean it's true.
Most of the time it's a great family day out with lots of smiles, happiness and great music.
JNO - LMAO at the thought of NTC being full of hankie wagglers.

It is ok to import thousands into a country if:
1/ That country is large enough to accommodate them.
2/ The one's it imports are prepared to roll up their sleeves, work and pay taxes etc.
3/ That country has enough jobs for all.
4/ It also has enough houses to accommodate them, along with it's own people.
5/ It has enough schools to educate them, along with it's own people.
6/ It's National Health Service is financially stable enough to treat them all, at no decrease in the standard of service for it's own citizens.
7/ Those who come to that country are prepared to integrate fully with the indigenous population.
8/ They are prepared to speak the language.
9/ Are prepared to respect the laws and culture of their adopted country.
10/ Also prepared if the need arose to put their very lives at risk in defence of that country and it's people of which they have chosen to settle in.
Only then could say we are all equally proud to be British.
But as a footnote;
Some are forever trying to state that Britain has such a bad reputation, what with plundering and the raping of the rest of the world, along with the vicious hold our once evil Empire had over the peoples of the World.
So why is it that these people still flock to Britain rather than say, Germany, France, Sweden, Netherlands, and Italy?
I wonder why? I await your answers.

^ which, considering around a million people a year attend the Carnival, is absolutley bu66er all! In public order terms , that's a love-in!
That may well be so, but the comparison was being drawn between the Notting Hill Carnival and one consisting entirely of morris dancers.
/// Can you imagine a Notting Hill Carnival consisting entirely of morris dancers? ///
