No, that was different. They wanted to take control of their bit of Ireland and, no doubt,since their historic aim was unification, make it as Roman Catholic in its laws as the Republic. You can see the difference between Roman Cathoilc terrorists and Islamic ones, can't you?.

As others have said- it is not racist to be concerned about the more extreme preachings and actions of Islam, since the muslim faith has adherents from many countries and many ethnicities.
Even were your supposition true, that to be concerned about the islamic faith is viewed as being racist, how is this story proof that it is not racist?

It may appear a slight bit selfish but what happens in NI is not at the moment a threat to the English people, just as what is happening in say Syria is no immediate threat to the English people.
