Ah thanks Boxtops - what channel was it on? Maybe i can google the tv channel web page and get some info/ article - thanks
there was a thread on here not long ago, most saying they wouldn't take the children to work. Second part is on now. You could do it only if the company were big enough to have a creche. Not having the children, babies by your desk.
i don't know about companies encouraging parents to take their children into work, but I have found this,

http://www.itv.com/da...s/strike-information/

/// You could ask to work from home, or you could of course offer to take your child to work (as suggested by the Prime Minister), but that may not be suitable for many jobs. Whichever option your employer chooses, they should offer the same to everyone in the company. ///
This may be a better option for the guys.

lol aog, we offer flexible working to all...

but in practise you have to submit to your manger your reason why and they then refuse
But then after watching a small sample, yuck.
It was an interesting documentary and followed the cab firm Addison Lee's call centre. Basically they were losing a lot of good valuable staff who never came back from maternity leave. They let the staff bring their babies in as an experiment and based their decisions as to whether it would carry on on a survey of all the staff.
The experiment found that babies did not affect overall productivity much, but when they reached 24 months they disrupted the work fliw.
Addison Lee to their credit decided to let the parents bring their small vabies and installed a nursery for the older ones.
