I saw Boris Johnson on the Andrew Marr Show today, is there any chance of
getting G4S to lock him up until the Olympics have finished, to save the rest
of the world laughing at us?

Judging from their past record, there is a good chance he would escape
Doesn't the rest of the world enjoy our quaint customs and eccentric people?
having said that I wouldn't mind if he was locked up
He's eccentric, he gets air time
i neither like or dislike him,he always seems to have a coy smile on his face.
Stop picking on Boris. I am not a Tory follower but I think he is rather quaint & refreshing in his attitude.

W Ron.
He's actually highly intelligent - he just behaves like a buffoon :-)
why are the rest of the world laughing at us? Only in Britain do we get this attitude, are we the only olympics in the world that had a couple of small issues? It's only anti British anti olympic naysayers that are scoffing, carry on and scoff if you must.
Do you really think the world is even interested ?
Well the world is sending their top athletes to compete in the olympics so they must be interested.
This country needs more like Boris.
"A couple of small issues." Well, that's one way of describing the chaos, I suppose. The Minister responsible, Jeremy Hunt, only managed to cling to his post by the skin of his teeth - or rather Cameron's nutty support - a few weeks before the Olympics were due to start. The Home Secretary, Theresa May - responsible for security at the venues - had no idea that G4S were apparently short of thousands of guards only days beforehand.

Indeed, a thoroughly effective piece of organisation all round, marred only by the whining over minutiae by naysayers!
Well it is not really a big issue is it? Only if you have a political agenda to make it so. All has been fixed and we carry on.
I never really agreed with the idea of the olymics coming here but it is so we must do our best and stop the internal bickering and sniping.
The only reason it's "not a big issue" is because useless ministers know they can always call upon our military personnel to cover their own gross errors. "Lions led by donkeys", as was said in a somewhat different situation nearly a century ago.
Apart from that - although I myself have not the slightest interest in watching people running about, jumping over things and chucking things - I sincerely hope all goes well and that those who are interested enjoy it.
