Abu Qatada is being held in prison pending a FRESH high court hearing in October over whether he can be deported to Jordan to face trial on terrorism charges.
Another hearing? Why?
Appeals have gone to higher courts; decisions made and then his lawyers appeal, and appeal, and appeal again.
Yes ladyalex, very true. But surely there is something wrong with a system which allows repetitive appeals every time a judgement is made. The same applies to Abu Hamaz who is also detained and fighting deportation to USA.
I do not understand why it takes six to eight weeks for the panel to decide whether to hear the appeal.
