From the article she was trying to tell him it was not that bad, so she might have had what they call 'an undetectable viral load' which would mean she COULDN'T pass it on to him.
If HIV was the killer it once was and a partner did infect me with HIV without telling me and she knew she had it. I would make her life hell, but eventually would kill her, probably when I was close to death.
I think if I were in that situation, doing that would be very productive for me.
@naomi24 Revenge would be very apt.
Each to their own. I had a neighbour who was a bit of a pain to everyone. When we had the hose pipe ban, out he was at 11am hosing. I reported him. That gave me great satisfaction of revenge for his constant complaining about a BBQ and 'why do you have to start your car at 6am' moaning.
If you want to live out your last little while on earth being bitter and twisted and leaving an entirely negative legacy for your loved ones to carry forwards, I suppose that is your prerogative.
Personally, I'd be wanting to create happy memories.
I think she was very foolish to tell him. If it was not that bad he might not have caught it from her and she could have blustered it out somehow. I know I sound awful but if I was in that position - which I know I never will be at my age - I would have lied forever about it. They were probably both promiscuous anyway, so how could anyone tell who gave what to whom.
