I'm against gay marriage so I must be a bigot then?
Sorry Craft but yes IMO.
What harm does it do to you?
not everyone is in favour of gay marriage. I couldn't care one way or the other, it should be whatever people want to do.
It does me no harm whatsoever Mojo, but I think it wrong to be called a bigot just because you don't share someone's point of view.
I agree with em10 I thought you were anti-marriage
Craft^
lol sibton I'm a great believer in marriage......
Maybe you're right Craft. I would probably only use that term to someone who was actively trying to put a stop to it.
I meant no offence and I realise my first answer appears crass. Sorry.
No offence taken Mojo..................
a good mate of mine had a civil partnership wedding and i was very happy for her, she has found her soulmate and they are very happy together. I wish could have gone but it was too far to go.
Bigot definition:

a person who is utterly intolerant of any differing creed, belief, or opinion

Doesn't seems to cover a difference of opinion, re this case, as the legal right of civil partnership is not based on creed, belief, or religion, but on appeasing the ECHR chasing lawyers.
Nibble, good points.
The man's a plonker.

When the Lib Dems had no chance of ever being in power, they promised everything to anyone.

The other parties made the colossal error of letting him stand with them on the live TV debates, and looking like a real politician.

They have now shown that they are just opportunists with no firm policies, and just blow with the wind.

Let's hope they spend the next 40 years back in the long grass where they came from....
ah but then along comes Ed Balls with an offer they may not be able to refuse.
They would deal with Fidel castro if they thought they could get POWER again...
or at least his successor.
You would be surprised at the number of gay people who bitterly oppose the idea of homosexual marriage. As a friend of mine, and of Dorothy, said, "Peter Tatchell does not speak for us all".
yes - I believe the Lib dem party is on Ebay for a suitable bid...

Anyone got a bent halfpenny?
I don't know why but Peter Tatchell gives me the creeps, just thought you would like to know. x
Sorry, got awaty from the Gay marriage questiion there.

I'm in favour of any lasting & genuine arrangement.

I wonder if Nick and Ed would be a couple with long term possibilites>?
