Is Chief Whip's Conduct Acceptable?
http:// www.the sun.co. ...-the m-fing- plebs.h tml
In the light of the brutal slayings of two Policewomen only 3 days ago, is this the kind of conduct conducive by a senior MP to engendering Police morale? Is his own apology enough? What if that had been you or I?
And IF he used foul language, shouldn't he stand down immediately?
Cameron, though, has more or less exonerated his man - a wise move?

He is the Chief Whip (a very senior member of the government), he has had the Downing Street gates opened many times for him and his bicycle - this time some pompous prat in a flak jacket decides to be unnecessarily awkward.
I'd be bloody cross if it happened to me, hopefully my inbuilt "don't do that, dave" monitor would stop me making a scene and I'd take my revenge later, probably by making a complaint to get the irritating jobsworth in question moved to a less congenial posting.

Answer: 1 - there is no linkage between this and Manchester.
Answer 2: - How does it affect police morale, it is a mere spit in the bucket of issues that the Met have to handle.
Answer 3: - Yes, we may well have been arrested, but then I guess the Police involved knew him and vica versa.....
Answer 4: - Only he, the Policeman and his "God" know - unless it was picked up by the No Ten security system......if he has used foul language, then yes, a long walk off the Westminster Pier is in order.

I think you can often glean a lot about a person from their intemperate outbursts. Most telling I think was not so much the foul language, but the alleged use of phrases like "Do you know who I am ", "Learn your place", "you don't run this country", and of course, "pleb".
Following as it does the fragrant Mrs Dorries accusing Cameron and Osborne of being "arrogant posh boys", I would imagine the last thing Cameron would want is a Tory Chief Whip who would seem to epitomise the stereotype of uncaring, blustering, posh boy privilege.....
