I find it really distasteful that he's referred to as Ronnie Barker's son.

Why bring his Dads name into it? If he'd just been called Adam Barker then no one would've made the connection. Very unfair on his dad!

The whole episode with his son made Ronnie Barker terribly sad for the last few years if his life and may have contributed to his death.

And of course because his son had skipped bail Ronnie Barker had no idea where his son was (or even if he was dead) for the last few years of his life.

Ronnie died not knowing what had happened to his son.

Very sad.

Photographs of sex and blood also count now as criminal pornography - brought in by Tony Blair's mob - not many know that but some one I know of in Truro got eight months in Exeter for that offence - in effect, any shot of a BDSM whipping scene with blood showing is now illegal. They warn folk travelling from the USA to the UK to make sure their pcs are clear of such material...

I don't know how you'd get such images without paying, so I suppose if you feel you must have them, that's the only way. So it's not so much stupid as desperate. (This is not to defend his actions.)

I was more inclined to accept Townshend's defence. He had previously dealt with abuse in Tommy. But I don't get the Times so I haven't read his book.
