so the police have a suspect but, if he knows where April is, he's not saying. Wouldn't it have been better for them to ollow him for a while before apprehending him, then maybe he'd have inadvertantly led them to her?

I also think it's wrong naming and shaming him before being found guilty. His life will be ruined now either way.

I can't believe M3rm4n is recommending waterboarding a man who has not been found guilty of a crime at this point. Even if he is guilty it would still be very wrong!
"Even if he is guilty it would still be very wrong! "

And now imagine he did something to your child. Would you feel the same?
I just wonder where all the psychics are. Do their "powers" only work when there is a gullible paying audience?
I sincerely hope she is found safe and well
How come you never see the headline "Psychic wins Lottery"?
If this really is the man they're after then this is one time a bit of torture may be in order.
Or just a little injection with a truth drug - I have a bad feeling about this - hope I am wrong.
And, if forever what reason, he is not the man who has done this.......

Suggest if you approve of this method you could move to (i) Iran (ii) China (iii) Pakistan (iv) Russia
That's why we are saying "if he is guilty" not "if he might be guilty".
> Wouldn't it have been better for them to ollow him for a while before apprehending him, then maybe he'd have inadvertantly led them to her?

Maybe. But they stood the risk of losing him, prompting him into some drastic action or simply taking too long. Clearly they thought apprehending him was the better option.

As for naming him, unlike the Christopher Jefferies/Jo Yeates case, this time he's been named on the BBC who are pretty wise to the pros and cons of this. I'm sure there is a very good reason for naming him.
Dave50, before applying a bit of torture how do you suggest ensuring he is the right person, would it be based on his confession as his teeth and/or fingernails were being removed?
There is something not quite right about this case, apart of course from the tragic reality that this little girl has not yet been found.

It is reported that

/// Ex-soldier Bridger has had a string of relationships in Machynlleth and has fathered six children with women on the estate where April's family live. ///

It is also reported that little April's mother must have re-married because her partner is April's Step-Father, has her real Father been mentioned at all?

Whatever comes out from this case, I along with what must be thousands of others, hope that they soon find April alive and well.

Have you a link to that part of the report, please.
Might you be getting confused with the fact that Coral Jones attended a press conference with her own step father?? Therefore April's step grandfather ??

Yes you are quite correct and I apologise, it was the way I obviously wrongly read it.
So many facts bombarding us is easy to misread.
How long can they keep him in custody before charging him?
