Yes. Who ever dreamt up the idea of putting super cold chemicals in a drink and serving it to drunk youngsters?
I don't get it, is this an actual drink or some sort of prank?
It's an actual drink.

Yes, they should be banned.
Of course they should be banned - lethal.
I think it was Heston Blumenthal who first came up with the idea of using dry ice like this.

Yes, they should be banned. Stupid idea, just for special effects.
This Heston Blumenthal??

I laughed at that.^ Shouldn't have, I know.
Naughty Sandy.
My point in posting is to show how dangerous the stuff is:-

'Liquid nitrogen boils at -196C'
Had her stomach removed today to save her life!
Just said on the News that her condition is still very serious!
What happens when you have no stomach then??? Peg feed for the rest of your life? Iono, how's she gonna survive, will she ever be able to swallow again.

Im guessing there could be some way of regulating these drinks but its not really worth all the hassle is it?
so how does she feed from now on - and drink? I presume her oesophagus is shot to pieces too....
jejunostomy tube at a guess
Worlds first Stummy transplant? Is it possible to do that i wonder?
Needs to be licenced to ensure trained professional users only, at the very least. Someone is responsible for allowing the naive to serve this to the trusting.

They can grow bladders in the lab, wonder how far they have got with stomachs. Sounds a much more complicated thing.
It tends to come in little blocks too - so i wonder if she swallowed a little piece of it before it desolved ... because presumably others have drunk it with no ill effects.

yes ban them as they cant be controlled
18 Years old and her life already ruined by drinking this lethal 'Cocktail' !
I'm sticking to Cask Ale
Sandy, I admit I smiled at the article as well. But it does show how dangerous this stuff is. Poor girl, I hope she pulls through and manges to have some sort of life.
Before supporting the ban of these drinks, should we not find out what happened? Presumably, this poor woman isn't the first to have consumed this type of drink. If so, why did it affect her, and not others? Was the drink mixed incorrectly? Is is premixed? Do you have to have a special licence to make them up? Etc etc..
