She must be missing Abu like mad never to see him again. Why not help her misery by buying her a one way ticket to the US and vacate the property that must give her such bad memories.

ummmm, no, it's a private landlord. Her mistake was obviously to find a job at the same time as she moved!

She's been into their offices numerous time, her claim is considered from when her paperwork gets processed, not when she presents it! Last week she had a meeting with the manager, so fingers crossed. The rules seem to vary from one authority to another and the interpretation is up to the individual. She may be able to get back pay to May but it isn't guaranteed so we could be considerably out of pocket. The CAB weren't much help, they told her to go to the office.
