Jake they are referring to protecting them in French waters. I dont think it would go down well if our Navy entered French waters. On the other hand...

Of course none of this would happen if Cameron had some balls and pulled us out the EU (and ECHR) and reclaimed all British that Toady Blair and his chum Bottler gave away.
