I'm not so sure about the plea of insanity. She says the devil made her do it - and I imagine that's what she believes. People like her are big on devils and demons - but they don't see such belief as insane.

At the outer edges of so many religions (not including Bhuddism) there seems to be shelter for those who are frankly, psychopaths.

How anyone could kill their own child is beyond me, but to kill that child because of some (sorry to jump on my Athiesm Pony) fairy tale is just incomprehensible.

There are three religions I can think of which are at the forefront on intolerance, dressed up as 'faith'.

Seadogg, I doubt very much that she'll deny her beliefs which is why I doubt she'll go for a plea of insanity - although of course, she may well be sent for assessment. Sharia Law might well have looked upon her more favourably than British law.
