"@SP - Atheism Pony? Where can one purchase one of these fine creatures? :)"

God only knows. :P
She can't successfuly plead diminished responsibility, to reduce the offence to manslaughter; this was too premeditated. As to a devil telling her to do it, well, that's what defendants try on from time to time (the Yorkshire Ripper tried 'the voices defence').

The question is 'And did this devil tell you to burn the body or conceal the killing? Either you believed it right, in which case you wouldn't hide the killing and burn the body, or you thought it wrong. If wrong, how were you under duress to force you to do it, to kill your own child, the worst act you could do ?'

Clouting the child is the action of someone sane although a strict disciplinarian beyond normal bounds, but who happens to have gone too far and killed the child, without meaning to do so. That puts her into the murderer category, since she would have, on any reasonable view, have been intending to cause the child some really serious injury, though in temper at his failing to perform to her high standards .
AOG - did you post this with a debate in mind, or simply for everyone to say how dreadful this alleged crime is?
Quite, andy. Let me make a question out of it: What is to be done with these Muslim savages, bringing their medieval beliefs to this country? Does this mean Sharia law..Rochdale bad enough...where were social services...[cont. p94.Will this do?]..lol
not sure making light of this helps.

Disappointed are we Andy that it has not turned into a 'I hate AOG' slander match, it seems that only you and FredPuli43 don't wish to utterly condemn this woman's murderous actions.

Although FredPuli43's sarcastic attempt at creating a question seems about right, funny what really goes on in the heads of those who try to give an impression of believing that some can do no wrong.

Very strange that.

/// There are three religions I can think of which are at the forefront on intolerance, dressed up as 'faith'. ///

Come on sp it's not like you to hold back, what are these three religions who carry out such acts of intolerance as this, in 21st century Britain?
Allegedly again, yet most posts seem to have strung her up.

Save it for when/if found guilty.

I am not disappointed in the least - but then I am not so self-regarding that it would occur to me that anyone sees my posts as a chance to have a go at me - I don;t have that level of a persecution complex.

Yet again you assume absence of condmenation equates to agreemnt and support.

And yet again, I considered it so obvious that any right-minded individual would condemn the actions of this woman that it didn;t need stating. i don;t make a habit of advising AB'ers that the sun has risen every morning - some things you can take as read.

But for your benefit AOG - I utterly condemn the actions of this woman, if indeed as youngmafbog has pointed out, she is found guilty of a crime. But as yet, the law works on the same principles for everyone - even those whose culture and faith upsets you so much - she remains innocent until proven guilty.

Re-your last paragraph, it would have been much less confrontational to have put this in the first place, instead of your personal address to me, there was no need whatsoever to question my reason for posting my thread.
Don't wish to offend anyone and I apologise in advance if it does, but so much for religion.
AOG - as you are always so quick to point out - you are free to post as you wish - and so indeed am I.

You posted a title and a link - with no indication as to the response you were looking for .

As for not posting my condemnation of this woman's actions, I repeat, that some things do not require underlining - unless they require an accompanying screed about willingness to pull leavers, push buttons, confime oneself with the accused in a room for five minutes, and all the other tiresome nonsense generated by contentious threads.

I do condemn the actions of this woman - I also think that murdering people is a very very bad thing, and no-one should do it.

How's that?

Well if you are such a right minded person as you set yourself out to be, then why did you find it necessary to address the thread at all?

After all as you have already stated, some things you can take as read, so no need for debate at all.

"Well if you are such a right minded person as you set yourself out to be, then why did you find it necessary to address the thread at all?"
I fail to see the connection between your perception of me, and my interest in your thread presentation - the two do not appear to corelate.

"After all as you have already stated, some things you can take as read, so no need for debate at all."
So why post?
My sarcastic attempt at creating a question "seems about right", aog? Blimey, it was meant to be the reverse and 'seem about wrong', a 'dog whistle' which alerts readers' private, but unstated, preconceptions and prejudices. We all know that child murders are horrific, as this alleged one is, so what, if any, was the unstated question in your original post?
"Come on sp it's not like you to hold back, what are these three religions who carry out such acts of intolerance as this, in 21st century Britain?"

Narrowing the goalposts I see.

Christians, Catholics and Muslims.

Not all of them by any means...but you can't open the paper without some religious fundamentist shouting their prejudices about certain members of the population.

Why can't they go to their places of worship, believe in their fairy stories and leave the rest of us alone?

Bring on science-based secularlism.

/// Did this story make the AB news? ///

Not to my knowledge, but that happened in the US where there are all sorts of queer religious sects.
