This particular MP seems to be using her status as such to promote her own Z list celebrity fame, much like Ann Widdecombe and George Galloway. Although no longer an MP Widdecombe was treading the boards while still active in the Commons; I had a great deal of respect for her and was thus saddened to see her demean herself thus. Miss Dorries might as well continue now, for her future as a serious politician looks extremely bleak.
Yes but how many MPs go on "fact finding" missions to the West Indies or the Far East that maybe we dont know about and dont get as much publicity.
Indeed VHG. I was a great fan of poor old Denis McShane, but it turned out he was on a seemingly never-ending tour of Europe on "fact-finding missions" of varying sorts.
I find it hard to get too worked up about Nadine Dorries I must say.
I'd rather they were all there than messing up further this country.
She took (with the Whip's permission) a couple of weeks leave (less than many other MPs have done in the past) - what she does in that time is her own affair and irrelevant (unless criminal activity) to her constituents.

But the Tory Leadership resented her past criticism and would dearly like to dump her, so with the co-operation of the Right Wing press every attempt is made to vilify and demonise her.

Her constituents should be proud of her.
I wish my MP was that good looking.
