An oft-heard cant from some quarters...

If we accept that, can anyone explain why, after the bill has been passed, some quarters of the press are still banging on about it???

Why can't the political right accept the views of the nation and it's democratically elected parliament?

sorry to be pedantic, but nowhere on any poll does it say majority, i expect there are lots of people who don't like this, or lots who don't care one way or the other, or indeed lots who won't say they are against it for fear of castigation. i don't care one way or the other, and i truly think that politicians of all sides have more important things to concern...

are babies gay, whatever next.
Oh dear, sigh...

'offspring'
perhaps i don;t understand the sign?
It was purely a light hearted response, obviously an ill thought out one.
/I think we all agree that and Cameron has committed electoral suicide by pushing this through./

By the time of the next election it's doubtful this will even figure.

Cameron will have more prominent issues to defend against - such as the economy

The only harm this has done him is in revealing yet another split in the Tory parliamentary party as so many Tory MPs have shown themselves out of touch with the British electorate's relaxed attitude to marriage equality.
so you don't think that some in the other parties may have been persuaded, coerced into voting against their conscience?
For what purpose? and what is the evidence for that when they were reflecting the electorate's relaxed attitudes to the issue

Or are you suggesting that the other parliamentary parties are more disciplined than the Tories?
