Well, I would doubt that he will make any public papal statements on the matter.
Pity he did not, in his comments that he made, address the failings of his own country in using conscripts in an unjustified war, or the morality of engaging in a war to deflect attention and criticism away from an unpopular military junta, or the actions of that same state for those within Argentina who were "disappeared"
I have no doubt though that some of those more hawkish commentators within Argentina will use his elevation to the Papacy as an indication that their stance over the Falkland Islands has god-given support....

Christina Fernandez, PM of Argentina, said this in her congratulatory address to her countryman pope
"While congratulating the Pope on his election during a televised address, Fernandez also said she hoped that "he carries the message to the great world powers that they participate in dialogue.”
Given that Argentina continually criticise the UK for refusing to negotiate over the Falklands, that sounds like a coded reference to the UK
