Seems utterly barbaric but I wonder if this is what some people in this country would like to see happen here?

What ever we may think about the 'eye for an eye ' law how about the other part of the law which allows the thug, rapist, murderer , torturer etc
go free as long as they pay the victim's family enough blood money.

Sharia courts,just as Jewish courts, must act in accordance with the law of the land. This does not permit such punishments. The idea that anybody carrying out such Sharia sanctioned punishments could have a defence in our criminal courts is, and will remain, utterly ludicrous and belongs in the fears of the ignorant and the fantasies of racists

As modeller has said sharia law allows any crime including murder to be 'bought off' by paying blood money. That is how rich Saudi princes can quite literally get away with murder.

i was making the point why have sharia courts or Jewish courts for any matters, surely we should all be adhering to one law. I wasn't suggesting that this type of punishment is happening here. No one would.

I can't see any evidence whatsoever that Sharia law is about to adopted here in Britain. Our Justice system is completely separate from any religious control.

Saudi Arabia isn't just about Sharia law and women walking around covered in sheets. Its a deeply unjust dictatorship and all sorts if things can happen in countries like that.

May I point out Sharia Law is straight out of our Old Testament as the words of God..
