Its pretty obvious that they will probably creep up a few points due to Thatcher's funeral but unless they change their policies, it won't last. The media will soon think of something else to go on about after next Wednesday.
Labour shouldn't be afraid of being different to the Tories. As the Libs are now seen as part and parcel of the Tories and therefore the Establishment, Labour are the only real alternative, just as they were in 1997, 2001, and 2005. They just have to hold their nerve.

they can demonstate all their sad little lives allow, but....
MT will always have one over on nearly every single pathetic last one of them.
during her life she reached the highest office in serving her country and has lived to the ripe old age of 87
for the most part these anarchists have done nothing, will do nothing, and will amount to nothing and some may live to 87 and some wont.
the only comfort they get is celebrating the death of someone who was successful by any stretch of the imagination and beat them and theyre silly idealistic utopian ideals, how pathetic they really are...i suppose theyll all be drinking pints of sad and bitter no doubt !
they are truly showing themselves up for what they really are, they should be embarrassed at their behaviour, no doubt some will as they perhaps grow up amd mature a bit and look back and realise how stupid and foolish theyre making themselves look.
they can celebrate and demonstrate all they like but theyll still have to wake up and admit MT phukked over every last one of them....whos having the last laugh now
Final Score

Well no, AoG, I couldn't - because you gave no indication in your post that you were being sarcastic, or ironic, or that it was an attempt at humour.
You have often claimed that people have misunderstood you, but rather than reflect upon what that might mean about your own posts, or what you can do to aid the reader in understanding when you are attempting to be sarcastic, or humorous, or ironic, you instead prefer to blame the readers for failing to comprehend your pearls of wisdom, nuggets of humour, or elegant irony.

AoG - if speech is 90% delivery, or whatever teh figure is, then don't be surprised if some joke you make in jsut writing is going to be missed. It's impossible to tell if someone is being sarcastic or not just by reading. You really should allow for that and not be surprised if peopel grab hold of the wrong end of the stick on your posts.
Who's having the last laugh now?
Well lets look at the history of Thatcherism
Rejected by her own party after they thew her out for John Major who then got re-elected
3 election victories for Labour
1 coalition victory with a PM who's light years away from being a Thatcherist
I'd say Thatcherism's about as dead as - well add your own similee
Who's having the last laugh? Well it's not the Thatcherites is it?

@AoG I would imagine you think that is a real zinger, AoG. Have you dislocated your arm yet, patting yourself on the back?
I would expect contributors to threads like these to be inteliigent enough to indicate when they are attempting to be funny, or ironic, or sarcastic, and to engage in a bit of self-reflection when they claim to be continually misunderstood.
Let me help you out a bit.
"If we are still a democracy by then."
Serious and deluded.
"If we are still a democracy by then :)"
An attempt at humour, and worth a wry lift of the eyebrow or a small chuckle.
See the difference?

/// Well lets look at the history of Thatcherism ///
I wouldn't go down this road if I were you.
/// Rejected by her own party after they thew her out for John Major who then got re-elected ///
Elected by her own party as the first woman PM in history, who was brave enough to take on the unions and to get the country back on it's feet after the disastrous Wilson and James Callaghan Labour governments.
/// 3 election victories for Labour ///
But disastrous for the country.
4 election victories for the Conservatives, 3 of them under Mrs Thatcher.
