This is a dreadful situation, they have said this is the one "business" rising in UK,with twice as many outlets as Debenhams.Such a terrible admission and the chancellor and government are saying the welfare changes will help people to be better off,and many are working families not unemployed .

Through no fault of my own I was left with no income when my benefit was stopped suddenly. It has since been reinstated, I received help from a food bank when I was stony broke. I had exhausted help from families and sold any assets I had ( few ) . I don't know what I would have done without help. Turned to crime possibly. I do not own any of the latest gadgets, never...

Just to add to my previous post......the Food Bank can't dispense coal, gas, or electric, so stopping people going hungry is about all they can do. People may not even be able to cook the food they are given. I've eaten cold baked beans when camped up in the mountains when I was younger but I wouldn't like to live off them for three days !

I tried to donate some pet food last year. As a dog and cat lover, it scares me that family pets might be going hungry as well. But I was told that animals lie outside of their remit. So if anybody has any ideas how I can help pets, then I would be jolly pleased to know. I already support the Dogs Trust.
Post number 3 ! I have noticed that it was vakayu that wanted clarification on the three vouchers limit....apologies !
Just found this on the BBC News website :::

"That is so very mean minded of you Tora, do you know all Flump's circumstances? " - flump said he/she had no income, all I'm saying is that we have the most generous benefits system in the world, no one starves. So I was really trying to understand why there is no Income.
No, they don't 'starve' but many go 'hungry'

You need to stop tarring everyone with the same brush!!

Thank-you mikey for your clarification,so the people who qualify are allowed three days food supplies for only three times a year,as I said I realise supplies have to be limited and no one wants anybody to become dependent on food banks,so when these three alloted vouchers are used, then what? Apologies by the way for not replying last night, something came up.
