I'd be happy for them to get it *IF* they become full time workers. No more of this starting in the afternoon because they need time for their lucrative directorships. If they want a salary commensurate with other politicians around the world let's have a full time commitment from them

lol, But they will most probably get it too.
I wouldn't mind too much if it actually did lead to better-quality MPs -- or a reduction in expenses.
Yeah, right! 20k extra so they will noty have to fiddle their expense sheets. It shan't stop them looking for a refund on a £1.50 sink plug, though.
All mp's should be on 300k per year, cabinet ministers 375k and the prime minister 500k. No expenses.

I agree with them getting a pay rise if they do away with expenses but it should be their only, full time job with the same holidays as everyone else!
I'm quite happy for them to get a decent salary if it means they'll stop stealing money through the 'expenses' system.
