For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.Though I must say I find motorists in Northern Ireland the most cycle friendly out of the whole of the British Isles, especially at Sandyknowles Roundabout in the morning rush hour when I had to cycle to work when my motor was in the workshop. Normally for a car driver this is the sort of junction where you close your eyes, press your right foot down as far as it will go, and prey. But when I was trying to negotiate it on two wheels everyone in seemed to go out of their way to make my passage as easy as possible.

As a cyclist, I did not ask for 'taxable' roads to be between myself and my destination, I would be happy to use dirt tracks but if they're there, I'll have to use them - my bike does not pollute and causes very little wear and tear on the road so afaic "road tax" is out of the question. Just drinking the Devil's Advocaat there!
