We've had this before. There was a child, white and somewhat like the little girl, spotted with locals in North Africa. It turned out that some of the native population are naturally very pale-skinned and the little girl was one of them. It has always looked as though Madeleine was the victim of some paedophile of the sort allegedly found in mid-Wales and being tried now, but unfortunately her abducter has not left a compelling line of evidence.

Like others, I was hopeful this was a new article. Disappointing to note that it is from a couple of years ago.

Reading the article though, I was somewhat disturbed to read that an american tourist tried to snatch the child away from the - one now assumes- rightful parents. Anyone else feel uneasy at this demonstration of vigilante justice?
