"I have just spoken a mosque in Essex, who told me congregation was attacked by man in apparent "revenge" for Woolwich. More details to come."
I can't really think of a question, sorry. It just seems topical, and if more info comes out about it I figured it might be interesting to discuss.

The ever helpful EDL
// Scores of supporters of the English Defence League threw bottles at police and chanted anti-Muslim slogans in Woolwich hours after the murder of one man and the shooting of his two suspected assailants.
About 100 men, including some wearing balaclavas printed with "EDL", engaged in running battles with police for less than an hour.
A police commander said officers cited section 60 of the Public Order Act, which allowed them to stop and search individuals within a specific area without evidence of a crime being committed.
EDL leader Tommy Robinson said: "They've cut off one of our army's heads off on the streets of London.
The men congregated near Woolwich Arsenal station with flags bearing the cross of St George after plans for a protest were circulated on social media. Hundreds of police including riot police were stationed around Woolwich.
The first clashed began just after ten before the men were pursued and blocked in at a pub close to a local mosque. //

they are not helpful i agree, however this is a savage murder committed by two men on a defenceless bloke, their shouts of Allah is great and more besides. i did watch the footage last evening as the story broke, with absolute shock and horror. Yet another attack on our streets, i wondered when this would happen, almost since the last outrage of the bus and tube bombs.
The Qur'an mentions the "eye for an eye" concept as being ordained for the Children of Israel.[18] The principle of Lex talionis in Islam is Qasas (قصاص) as mentioned in (Qur'an 2:178) "O you who have believed, prescribed for you is legal retribution (Qasas) for those murdered - the free for the free, the slave for the slave, and the female for the female. But whoever overlooks from his brother anything, then there should be a suitable follow-up and payment to him with good conduct. This is an alleviation from your Lord and a mercy. But whoever transgresses after that will have a painful punishment.". Some Muslim nations, still apply the rule, in accordance with the Mosaic Law. In some countries that use Islamic law (sharia), the "eye for an eye" rule is applied quite literally.[19][20]
“In the Torah We prescribed for them a life for a life, an eye for an eye, a nose for a nose, an ear for an ear, a tooth for a tooth, an equal wound for a wound: if anyone forgoes this out of charity, it will serve as atonement for his bad deeds. Those who do not judge according to what God has revealed are doing grave wrong.” (Qurʾān 5:45)
