He was one of her friends, on her facebook, one of her generation in that they will have been in the same schoolk possibly at the same time, my nephew has close links to the school she went to and i have had plenty of information on it all from him and so feel i have as much insight and input to add to this thread as anyone else

I know this is local to you sir.prize but that is a plainly an inappropriate Suggestion.
By all accounts, the killer was deepy in love with the victim and did this terrible crime out of frustration or jealousy. She was aware that he was interested in her but was still meeting with him. I do not know if she was deliberately teasing him, but if someone is madly in love with you and it is not recipricated, then you should not keep seeing them. That is cruel. You do not deserve to be killed for it, as this unfortunate young girl was, but the killer should not be treated as if he is evil. Love is a very dangerous emotion sometimes, and people acted irrationally and extremely when under the power of it.

Wow sir.prise - Why do we spend money on expensive law cases when you can just watch some news reports and be judge jury and executioner.
More to the point why do we allow details like this to come out before a trial.
There may have to be a jury selection - sir.prize has nicely demonstrated to us how he is now totally unsuited to be on such a jury and there must be millions in the same boat.
Who exactly releases such information and why?

Jake, in this instance, probably unfortunate circumstance led to the situation. When the matter broke it was believed to be one of kidnap, in which case identifying the "lead suspect" may assist in his being apprehended. When he was indeed arrested, it was still a case of suspected kidnap. Then other evidence was discovered, bt by that time the identity of the accused was already out there.

If only the same fate could be dealt to her killer
mmmm yeah.
but not if the same fate could be dealt to the first person convicted at the first instance
because as we know well, we have hanged innocent people - Timohty Evans springs to mind
and we would never have been able to let out all the innocent convicted Irish terrorists on the grounds that they didnt do it and the prosecution knew they didnt when they were pleading in court they had...
and Steven Koscisko who couldnt have killed the kid
and the one convicted of Leslie Moleseed's murder
or
or
other than that I can't find much wrong with sir.prize's point

Jake,
Not sure the press are guilty in this instance. The Police freely published this information...
// Detective Superintendent Adrian McGee said: 'Although we are not in a position to release any further details for legal reasons, and out of respect for the Williams family at this terribly sad time, I am also able to confirm that Georgia died as a result of pressure being applied to her neck.'
