What rubbish some of you people spout. In answer to DTCwordfan:
I have been in hospital with acute abdominal pain, in an NHS facility, diagnosed with Prostatic Cancer (inoperable). But I wasn't given the privilege of one-on-one care, I shared a bed in a ward of 28 other patients cared for by an overworked workforce. My professional history is of 49 years in the NHS and latterly 5 years in the Private Sector, so I think I can talk with some authority on the 'pro's and cons' of privileged care. Until you've 'been there' and experienced it you have no right to make flippant comment.
