Fringe weirdoes on the so-called 'Right' are well catered for with the likes of the Murdoch media empire

LOL, where are the fringe wierdoes on the left catered for ?.
"LOL, where are the fringe wierdoes on the left catered for?"

Edinburgh? I assume that's what that festival is about.

That, or one of those magazines called something like "The Liberal" which tries to do a "Spectator," but fails awfully - mostly because of it's own bias an poor reporting.

We all only like an echo chamber up to a point.

I like Private Eye, you can just flick through and find all the conflict of interest, shameful behaviour and so on without any real or obvious bias - it can get you down a bit though.
I was quite glad that recently the Beeb have come to their cake and ha'penny and realised that the Sarth Efrican events are nothing to do with the final illness of an old man and everything to do with sucession struggles of his children (including 'the Mother of the Nation') Winnie.

I perceive shell shocked Beeb administrators lining the deep carpeted corridors....
So not channel 4 then, Ed lol.
All TV Channels, BBC, Channel 4 and the rest are required by law to be unbiased. The problem is, unbiased is in the eye of the beholder.

Someone with rightwing views will look at the Beeb and channel 4 and because what they see is more to the left on themselves, they will conclude that they have a left bias. The thing is, they do not occupy the middle ground which is where an unbiased channel has to sit.

I have seen it frequently stated the AB is a left wing site, which always makes me laugh. Again the same thing is happening. People on the right think they are in the middle when they are way off the middle.

Every Government, Labour and the Tories attack the BBC for alledged bias against them. Which probably means the BBC are doing it about right.
Reminiscent of President de Gaulle. The head of France's national TV network recalled that he was frequently summoned by the President. The conversation always began either "About this programme on the TV" or " About this programme on your TV". He always knew what was coming, dependent on which words were used.

So long as the BBC is criticised for bias by right and left alternately it is doing a fine job.
When were they last criticised by the Left then, Fred?
New Judge,

// The Labour party has made a "serious complaint" to the BBC about a lack of political balance in its news coverage as it attempts to reinvigorate Ed Miliband's leadership and counter what it sees as widespread media bias in favour of the David Cameron-led coalition.

New Judge,

From the Daily Mail 2012

// The issue for many people is the Beeb's apparent 'bias' when it comes to reporting on this particular brand of austerity measures that our country has been subject to since David Cameron's Coalition came to power in 2010.
The charge against the BBC is that the Corporation favours the Government stance on the crisis over how austerity has detrimentally impacted many millions of people. //

There's some ideas, NJ. You must very firmly of the Left, if you think the Left never complain of bias! ( I doubt that)
I think the BBC walks a tightrope and does so very successfully, the fact that both the right and left attack it shows what a great job it does. The way it handled the “Ding dong the witch is dead” outraged the left as has its reporting of matters relating to the NHS. The point in matter is the rabid right wing, has a vested interest in kicking the BBC and continually undermining it. These publications are the most popular, so get heard the most.
The immigration comments are no doubt true, however, it was the sitting on the fence that has caused it. It isn’t the BBC’s place to “reflect public opinion” but report the news. Imagine what outcry’s there would have been, if it had reflected public opinon? Whose public opinion? The empty vessels that witter on and on? Oxbrodge intellectuals? The people in the Job centre? The CBI?

Baffles me sometimes.

Just to add I think this proves a point. Neither right nor left but indicative of the Mail's stance to the BBC or indeed its failure to acknowledge human traits.

their reportage is biased, they have some good journalists, but quite honestly some of their documentaries leave much to be desired.
So, once in the last 18 months or so, then.
