glad i am not going then, besides which we usually bear the brunt of these people, not just EDL but anyone else who fancies a free for all.
I'm going to take photographs, so we'll see :)
Shari, if you mean it please be careful.

WR.
I do mean it and we will, not going on my own obviously:)
why take photo's, what's to be gained, if there is an almighty punch up, or worse, should one be anywhere near it,
Because it's own of the things I do, I take photographs and sometimes sell them, usually of gigs and bands but sometimes of civil unrest or other interesting topics :)
Shari, take Ronnie's advice & stay in Herefordshire.

WR.
what civil unrest?
Problem with here is no-one buys photos of pretty scenery. I've pohotographed several riots and demos before, this one being on my doorstep seems silly to miss.
riots dot
The police seem to have the measure of the EDL people, shepherding them to a bar.
well if that's what you do, but i wonder how far you will be allowed into the melee. If the EDL people are corralled, then how will you get near. If it kicks off, which i sincerely hope it doesn't, then you could be caught in the thick of it. Seeing how many protests, demonstrations, and what not we have hear i generally stay well out of it.
have you been told there are going to be riots?
Be very careful who you are snapping some of 'em don't like it.

WR.
the term is 'kettling' not 'coralled'
sandy, and what about the anti fascists, where do they go.... they are often as stupid, thick headed as those they supposedly hate
No dot, I have no internal knowlede of what's going to happen tomorrow, but I have photographed riots in Germany ( always some on May Day somewhere) and demonstrations before as I said. Hopefully things will pass off peacefully tomorrow but I wouldn't count on it. I wish I'd never mentioned it:(
With all the ctv cameras in the city centre people wouldn't go if they objected to being photographed.

Birmingham will not be closed, shops will be open as normal. The tunnels are closed for 6 weeks maintenance.
I think corralling is the more apt description in this case.
it's not a forgone conclusion that there will be riots, it's a rally, the police will be there keeping order, i am sure they have it well organised.
