the man in question is from the Ukraine, here for a six month visit, forget what for, the two men have been questioned over the bombings and the fatal stabbing of this poor chap, if it's them, or one of them, what has that to do with a multi racial society. There are aspects of it i don't care for, however if it does prove to be this man, or men, then that hasn't been something a British person has done, so at least that would let the likes of the EDL, BNP off the hook. There is unrest around the world, some to do with religion, some to do with cultural differences, are you expecting WW3 here any day soon, if so can i find an Anderson shelter that might be still in use, then i can go and hide. Not sure collaboration by Ukrainians with Nazism in WWII has much to do with it. Any country invaded by the Nazis, and especially those already under totalitarianism, had the same issues. More likely just general racism

AOG, It’s true to say that with most of the problems between people of different races/cultures, Islam (which, since Muslims consider themselves ‘brothers’ regardless of their country of origin, is not simply a ‘religion’) does appear to feature rather more regularly than any other. However, since a multitude of people of all cultures and religions have integrated very successfully into our society, I think you are mistaken in saying the experiment (is it an experiment?) has failed.

It probably has quite a lot to do with it. I'm only speculating, but I suspect these people were not greatly preoccupied with the religious difference between Ukrainian or Russian Orthodox Christianity and Islam. More likely they took offence at dark-skinned beardies in funny clothes who moreover want to kill everyone :-)
Then again, maybe they'll turn out to be priests ...

Thank you Gromit but no need to get concerned, I was just taking advantage of the recent beautiful weather we have been experiencing, rather than being stuck inside, sweating over a computer keyboard.

Also thanks for your link regarding Racism and Discrimination in the Ukraine, which highlights the problems that I foresee.

Regardless of the usual accusations of Nazism and the historical fact that we have always had immigration into this country, times have changed and the fairly recent multi immigration of all races, cultural and religions into this country have shown that many are not prepared to integrate.

And now with the imminent threat of more Eastern Europeans coming to this country will only increase this type of 'community against community' ill feeling, and anyone who thinks this won't create problems must live in 'Cloud Cuckoo Land'.
