Is this not final proof, that no matter what the hand-wringing PC liberals on AB might say, the EDL are capable of attracting members who are willing to engage on discussions on Islam in a calm and considered manner?

Plus video footage of poppy burners, and so forth, some people don't seem to like the military, some don't even seem to like our way of life, except perhaps the benefits they live on like Anjem Choudary, an able bodied man who was once a solicitor, so he could get a job, why isn't the DWP down on him like a ton of bricks, as they are doing with so many, some of whom are in a far wore state than Mr Choudary

/// After all, why is it the English and not the UK or the British Defence League? Is that because they don't regard British people of foreign origin or descent as true citizens whereas English suggests an exclusion of such people? ///
Why do you always try to read into things, things that don't exist.
I am no expert but it doesn't take an expert to understand why it is called the 'English' Defence League, simply because a group of ENGLISH people are protesting against the rise of Islam in ENGLAND, and I presume anyone who resides in England is welcome to join, which I believe some Sikhs have done just that.

AOG, I was under the impression that they were founded to keep foreigners out, immigrants , and keep Britain, or England, pure and Anglo-Saxon and that it was only recently that they'd chosen to direct themselves against Islam.
Maybe, given that, they should now call themselves The Crusaders or the Anti-Islamic League?
