I didn't realise he was 87, I always liked him- the days of old TV are not like they are now.
I'll give it 5.

Another one gone, it's life I guess
Another favourite gone. He's had a good innings though. May he rest in peace.
It makes us realise just how old we are ............ another one remembered from our childhood gone.
He was a gentle, gentleman. RIP.
Very nice man and a good presenter on tv and radio.I think you have your programmes mixed up D.J.Hawkes.I'll give it five was said by Janice Nicholls on Thank your lucky stars.David Jacobs presented Juke Box Jury, where panellists, usually from T.V and the pop scene, voted a particular record either a hit or a miss.
chrissa1, exactly my thoughts as I read this headline. RIP
David Jacobs hosted Juke Box Jury - hit or miss.

'O'ill give it 5' was Janice Nicholls on Brian Matthew's show Thank Your Lucky Stars.
Always thought David Jacobs had a voice made for radio. He had the most wonderful twinkling eyes, complete with laughter lines. RIP.

A regular judge on Juke Box Jury was Pete Murray. Just googled him and pleased to see he is still with us.

Bliddy hell! Noooooo. RIP x
Another great gone. RIP David, you brought a lot of pleasure to your audiences over the years.
My OH was a fan of his recent Sunday late night show on Radio 2.

He finished it about 4 weeks ago where he retired for 'health reasons'.

Too soon after this. RIP the original DJ
Goodbye, "Hello there".
Another sad loss, may he rest in peace.
Very sad news he was a gentleman with a voice so recognisable - RIP
He was a lovely man. I remember him well from my youth too. Didnt he host the show where a panel voted a song a Hit or Miss. Loved that programme
RIP David +
Yes, very sad news indeed. Two broadcasters/presenters , both called David, now dead. If I were David Dimbleby, I'd be concerned! Some people still believe in the "everything happens in threes" motto. RIP David Jacobs. A gentleman.
Oh no, another person I 'grew up' with.
He had a nice gentle soft voice. Loved Juke Box Jury!
I wouldn't have missed Juke Box Jury for anything. I always LONGED to be one of the audience in that show. I was bright green with envy.
I always liked Brian Matthews gentle style too. He's now 84.
