She had just had her second child, family were on the alert for it because she had it with her first, she had been sectioned into a semi secure hospital, seemed happy...well, relieved.... and grateful to be there and self aware, was complying with treatment then hiked a mile to the main road and threw herself under a car.
This poor woman will have to bear the knowledge of what she did for the rest of her life. Very sad indeed.

Sitting with Mr Justice Griffith Williams and Mr Justice Dingemans, he added: “In our judgment, this is a wholly exceptional case.
“It is not merely that this appellant’s mental condition offers some mitigation for her actions - it is clear to us that the whole and only explanation for what she did was an acute psychosis.”
