I am very pleased for him and never believed he was guilty. Were we ever told when and how these supposed rapes took place? Did he know the girl and her family?
And whilst we're at it, if a child accuses any adult of a sexual offence, that child should be named too...and their picture should appear on the front pages of all newspapers.
In fact, that's a brilliant idea - it would encourage any person who's a victim of sexual abuse to come forward wouldn't it. Just knowing that if the accused is found not guilty then their names and pictures would be known across the country with everyone thinking, "Look at that liar and what they've done to that poor innocent man".
How fantastic...to be raped, and then to have a fab game of Russian roulette with your reputation afterwards.
I admit I thought he had done it and it would all come out, but on, I think, it was the second day of evidence, it was claimed there was no medical proof she had been raped and I started to change my opinion. Surely if a six year old child was raped by an adult man, there would be plenty of evidence in a medical exam ?
Lie detectors are fallible. Some psychopaths and sociopaths truly believe their outrageous lies and a detector would show them to be telling the truth.
Other people are so in control of their reactions that they can beat the detector - some can beat it by behaving irrationally throughout the interview.
The girl's mother said she had been ‘very upset’ with the investigation in 2011. She said she had begun a formal complaint against the Crown Prosecution Service when it initially decided not to pursue the case.
sp, I think neither should be named, but other girls are going to have the finger pointed at them and whispers will cascade into shouts.
So, the young girl and her family, Michael Tuner and his family, and others' lives will, or could be, made a living hell.
I've no idea hc, I'm not in the medical profession, but surely there would always be evidence in the form of say scarring when force was used on one so young ?
Gromit - I have my own idea who the girl is, but it's only a guess.
why would one be looking at who she is in relation to this case, she has anonymity, whether that remains the case who knows. If some know it they should keep it to themselves, seeing as how her name is not common knowledge, for the time being.
viv, if you read this article, the doctors claim that examination revealed neither proof or denial for various reasons. One has to wonder at the wisdom of the CPS if they thought they had enough to pursue a guilty verdict, particularly in light of recent Yewtree events.
alba, no fingers will be wrongly pointing. It is common knowledge who this girl is, and in any case anyone close enough to Michael Le Vell to know the children he has been in contact with over the last 14 years will certainly know who the accuser is.
