Zacs...not in the slightest. I find the wording in the OP offensive and entirely unnecessary.

S-D may have a point but I find it hard to get past the original wording. I am in no way a prude but standards here on AB has gone down hugely in the last year or so. More politeness and less ranting is called for.

Back to my point. There are about 3-4 Usual Suspects on AB and its obvious who they are, as even an oblique reference, like Usual Suspects causes them to self identify ! These people pop up in all sorts of debates, on a regular basis, and immediately start to rant and rage, and make personal attacks on others posters, by name. This happens despite the warning at the top of the page, from Ed, saying that "personal attacks and abusive language will not be tolerated " We haven't heard from Sharrington for a while and I suspect its because of such attacks, and she is only 16 years old.

We all love a debate but I can't see why these debates have to involve such language of hate and intolerance.

OK...I've thought about it. J Kyle has put himself in the spotlight by inventing his program, appearing on it, and making huge sums of money out of it. Its basically a human form of bear-baiting. So if I, or anyone else thinks he and his program is odious, so be it. He has put his head firmly above the parapet.

If we were to remove any thoughts that we might have about issues and the people behind them, what would the point be about having a debate ?

Just for the record, I find the Leader of the BNP odious as well, surely a widespread view. I also wasn't terribly keen on Bernard Manning !

Anyway, all this doesn't distract from my criticism of the original post. Its my opinion that S-D has used unnecessary language. He may have a pointto make but the discussion is now all about the language rather than the content.
