Nanny is a female goat.



I worked in a haberdashers in the early seventies and we had to relabel reels of thread called a particular shade of brown too, this is nothing new.


Re the 'Black Sheep' - black here is more than a colour rather an indication of dark deeds done against society and the family not any reference to a person's colour.

definitely a health and safety issue, teach could do some serious damage throwing a blackboard rubber at an unruly pupil at the back of the class

Didn't they just Mamya, Mr Markham my old maths teacher had an uncanny knack of working away with his back to you then spinning on his heels and launching the blackboard duster at you, i know, I took many a clonk on the nut. Lol. X
