This is pretty serious - we're in the middle of negotiations over the largest free trade zone in the World and the Americans have been caught tapping the phones of 35 World learders

and whats the problem anyway, dont they realize bank regulations will have all the data sent to the authorities everywhere anyway?
SWIFT don't deal with individuals (although there may be some beneficiary information there I guess), it is an interbank system.
