I have traveled the world, and as a scotsman i would say the English are as friendly as any, and more friendly than some.

P S That should read Mathieu, and she's still going. She released an album last month, of the songs of Piaf. She is a mere 67 this year.
It's a long time since MrG and I traveled but I found Sicily a very unfriendly and dull place. The Portuguese I love and though MrG didn't agree I enjoyed visiting France....I got on well with the French.... ;-)

Canadians come way at the top too for being friendly and welcoming...the Americans a bit of a mix.

But...and not because I am Irish... Ireland takes some beating when it comes to being genuinely welcoming to visitors....x

I always found the Americans very polite but my God are they thick. Dutch are all easy going, must be all the cannabis they take. Germans very serious, as you'd expect. French always on strike. Nigerian officials want a $100 bribe before they'll give you the time of day. Just impressions I have from my travels over the years.

Argentina, if going by their Holiday Reps I met in the early 80's were anything to go by!
Didn't get a warm welcome then, Baldric?.... ;-)
Baldric I was sent by my boss to collect a visitor from the airport who had flown in to Dublin from Brussels. When I met him and engaged in conversation it became clear he was Argentinian. When I got back to the office the conversation with the gaffer went like this.

You never mentioned he was Argentinian. Nobody mention the Falklands. I mentioned them once but I think I got away with it.

Too blooming warm gness!
Hmmmm...thought that just as I hit submit....Did you yourself have it very bad? Were you there for long?

Tumbledown was, er, interesting, picked up a metal souvenir, remember the cancelled operation couple of months ago, that's back on the cards again, as it's on the move of it's own accord.
It'll make a nice medallion Belders

Dunno about that, got to find out exactly what it is first!
Baldric...I know so little...I was living in Canada....we got very little news. I have quickly looked at Tumbledown...interesting?!!! I will read more now.

Where is the metal....very dangerous?....tell me to not ask questions if you wish.....☺

It's lower(ish) abdomen, been there for a year or three now, so hopefully not terminal!
Okay....I shall ask St. Theresa to look out for you and I will light candles... mind you I set fire to my hair trying to light the last one for an Aber and then I left my bottle of wine on the alter...but I'll do it....☺☺☺

Just you be careful out there gness!
I'll be brave, Baldric!! xx

Gness, have a look at 'Big Red and Green'
It's not all spam!
