I was just asking a question agreeing that this cse could not be blamed on forced marriages or honour killings, but some of you took it on board that I agreed it was.
/// Go on, what is your point here?, should FREEDOM have not got
involved? ///
Did I state that?
/// No...how could it be ? What evidence do you have that makes you think that ? ///
Did I state that?
/// If the point you're raising is that Freedom was the wrong organisation to contact, I would suggest you are wrong, because they are now free. ///
Words put in my mouth once again.

AOG - "I was just asking a question agreeing that this cse could not be blamed on forced marriages or honour killings, but some of you took it on board that I agreed it was."
To be fair AOG, that is due in part to the ambiguity in the way your OP is phrased - combined with your acknowldged singular interest in matters of Muslim / Eastern culture.
If I misunderstood your OP, then I am happy to apologise, but I think it reasonable that you accept a degree of responsibility for the misunderstanding by myself and others.

Thank you naomi24 you seem to have read my post correctly and not with any persevered idea of the poster, which tends to make some read into matters things that are not really there or even true, the following statement is a very good example.
/// combined with your acknowldged singular interest in matters of Muslim / Eastern culture. ///
Singular interest eh???????????????????????????

Indeed, AOG, your post reads "Surely this tragic case can't...", which clearly indicates that you expect others to agree; it is in the form of a leading question. Since forced marriage or honour based violence does not feature in this case, nor is there any hint of it, you could hardly expect anyone to disagree.
What debate or discussion were you expecting ?

/// I think you will have a tough time convincing any regulars on the News Section that your interest in matters of immigration and the Muslim faith is anything less than singular - i stand by my point. ///
Try and fight your own corner Andy without the need to include others in your over exaggerations.
If my "anything less than singular" interests in matters of immigration and the Muslim faith (not as if anything is wrong with that if they were) then wouldn't every thread or post that I entered be solely on those two subjects?
Since they are not then I am afraid you are wrong to "stand by your point".

OK - just kidding - have a good evening.

No I was just asking a question, this being a question and answer site, I don't expect or even care if others agree with me or not.
Has I have already explained when I posted ths question, although it was breaking news little was known of it.
Since Freedom Charity, which aims to advise and support victims of forced marriages or honour-based violence, was called I immediately thought that they were suggesting that it was a forced marriage or honour based violence case, I was obviously wrong to make that assumption, but I shouldn't be castigated for making a mistake, it's no great crime, everyone does so at some time or other.
