hope it was after dinner
Blimey, it was a lion on the loose in Essex a few months ago. ;)
Whatever you do don't confrontate it.............
Unless it is hungry you will be ok.

If it is hungry then much bigger problem especially for infants.

That was a tiger rocky, but imagine looking for an orange coloured predator with sharp claws in Essex?

Must've been a nightmare for the local Plod......
Twas definitely a lion in Clacton but lol to the orange and sharp claws.
Question Author
My apologies rocky, didn't hear about the lion, just the fake life-size tiger.

Meanwhile, sounds like there were a few escaped, couple have been shot, sadly:

be careful.could be wearing sheep's clothing !
Read that about the two that were shot, very sad but unavoidable I'd say. God knows what happened to the enclosure to make it so insecure.
Poor thing, suppose it will be shot by the end of the day. :-(
Question Author
One has been darted Frank, hopefully they'll manage the same with the one remaining.
If it turns out to be deliberate tampering of the enclosure or negligence, how sad that two wolves have been killed.
probably just a sheep in wolfs clothing...

nothing to worry about
That's good then, hate the thought of it being shot just for escaping.
bit of a worry, grand daughters attend infants school within a couple of miles of zoo, just phoned daughter, she knows nothing of this great escape.
He's been shot, poor thing :(
Question Author
Aw, gutted.
Thanks for the update rocky.
Oh dear , what a shame, you would think that if they could shoot a bullet then a knock out dart would be just as easy.
Disgraceful that they were shot dead. I have past experience with zoos and the keepers and vets could all have darted them.

With the best will in the world I'm sure it's not always that easy, Prudie. I remember a programme about this:
