/// why was her named in the frame anyway, what has she to do with Mandelas death. ///
Just because some on here who are now showing 'crocodile tears' over the death of Nelson Mandela, chose to rejoice the passing of Margaret Thatcher, while at the same time refusing to congratulate her achievement in helping to make this Earth a great deal safer place.
//why was her named in the frame anyway, what has she to do with Mandelas death. //
Because she was always very supportive of the apartheid regieme in South Africa
And because certain die hard Thatcherites got all in a huff when we did't all hep praise on her memory when she died and so rather childishly think this is an opportunity to get their own back.
But like I said - she was important to British History
When David Cameron latches on to the Mandela bandwagon, remember that in 1985 he was a top member of the Federation of Conservative Students
who produced the “Hang Mandela” posters. In 1989 Cameron worked for the Tory Policy Unit at Central Office and went on an anti-sanctions fact finding mission to South Africa with pro Apartheid lobby firm that was sponsored by Botha. Remember this when he tells the world that he was inspired by Madiba.
The poster in question in question has Nelson’s photo with the legend “Hang Nelson Mandela and all ANC terrorists; they are butchers.”
do you, actually i don't like this Mandela reverence, he was a flawed human being, just like most people, and if any of the info i provided in the link is indeed true he was no saint. A good man for his country, but i wonder at his actual legacy.
