It is perfectly possible that Mrs Obama's expression had nothing to do with what was going on outside her peripheral vision.

Photographers can catch someone half-way through a blink which automatically makes them look seriously drunk, and of caught like that coming out of a club, then two and two are waiting to be put together.

I think 'selfies' are a little odd, but that is probably an 'age' thing - I have had a mobile for seven years now, and I have yet to take a photograph of any description with it!

It would have made a very nice photo, but I see that Cameron had to spoil it by sticking his nose in.

Now what nice words, but hang on a minute wasn't Mr Obama born in Honolulu, Hawaii?
I think that refers to his ancestry AOG, father born Kenya for example.
