Not me. Always thought they looked and felt cheap and just...wrong, somehow.

According to the reports, a large majority of those surveyed favoured them, which surprised me a bit.

@Mikey. News is news. This is news, it seems to me. I rarely use chatterbank. There should be space within the News for items which are not always portentous, or doom and gloom or earth-shattering, surely?

And, whilst it might be a "non-issue" to you, that does not automatically mean it is a non-issue for everyone, although I will readily admit that I look to be in a significant minority, which was useful to know in itself :)

I'll make a deal with you Mikey - I will refrain from commenting on whether all your threads deserve to be in the premier league of News, if you do the same. How about that? ;)

LG. I didn't mean to imply US money was plastic; as far as I know it isn't. But paper notes are the same size and I have no idea how the blind cope; it can't be easy.

Assuming they already know what bills they have been given then they fold them differently

if they dont know what they have to start with the thats still a problem

apparrently the septics are working on the problem and there "bill readers" that use a scanning process

it would seem then its pretty easy to short change a blind person in the good ole US of A
