An incident in down-town Chicago during the 1930s?
No this took place in 2013 London, is our capital getting a more dangerous place?

/// because you can recall more recent murders than say in the good old days of the Krays, you think there were, in fact.....///
Yes but how many names of today's multiple gang members will go down in the annals of crime they are hardly remembered a few days after they been arrested, if they are ever caught that is.

/// You can believe what you like AOG, but as Fred pointed out, those links are to different crimes, not murder. They do not support your argument murder is getting worse in the

Read the link that only appatains to those murder where they find the killers those where they don't are generally grouped together as one incident, unless I have read it wrong.

You have read it wrong. Neither link is about murders. The BBC one mentions attempted murder. The other about crimes being grouped is about burglaries.
// "Crimes are downgraded in seriousness or the numbers are hidden. For example, if 10 caravans are broken into overnight with 10 different victims it will sometimes be recorded as just one crime. //

So basically AoG asks a question which requires a measurement to ask it. Our best efforts to measure it are presented (and incidentally the British Crime Survey which tries to factor in estimates of unreported crime also says it is decreasing.)
Unfortunately, our best efforts to measure it don't support AOG's favoured conclusion, so they are automatically dismissed as worthless. So basically instead we judge the murder rate by counting the number of cases in the tabloids and giving them a rating for how angry and absolutely disgusted they make us feel.
There's just no point even trying to communicate with you AOG. It used to be sorta funny but now it's just depressing.
