We are constanly being told that LGBTs just want to be treated as equal, yet this shows anything but.

Your argument, and correct me if I'm wrong because I find it very confusing, appears to go along the following lines:

"23% of men in London cannot possibly have experienced "same sex sexual activity" because that is an oxymoron. It is an oxymoron because sexual activity can only mean vaginal intercourse, which requires a male and female."

Unfortunately, jom, this doesn't work. For one thing, the phrase "same sex sexual activity" obviously means something to the people who responded to a survey question about it in the affirmative. Of course, I can't definitively prove this, but I'm willing to bet they mean more than a handshake and a peck on the cheek. What do you think they mean?

For another, the phrase 'sexual activity' does not *exclusively* mean vaginal intercourse purely because you assert that it does. A good working definition of sexual activity - one which is subscribed to by the Cambridge Dictionary and by every sexual health worker I have ever met - is "[consensual] physical activity between people involving the sexual organs."

So if it involves your privates, you consent to it, and it's with another person - that's sex.

Now, I understand that the meaning of words in an argument like this is not solved by just getting dictionaries out. But it's the only start I can think of. If there's a better standard, perhaps you can enlighten me. On what grounds do you assert that "sexual activity" means vaginal sex and only vaginal sex?

Kromo, I don't 'assert' anything about the term 'sexual activity'. If it isn't male/female copulation it is mutual masturbation whether being carried out by mixed or same sexes. People call it sex because they like to delude themselves that it isn't a form of mutual masturbation. Is the truth so difficult?

And if people want to call it sex, and think of it as sex, that's their own choice, and for such people it is, no? And anyway, if you bothered to look at the actual relevant wiki page, while it describes sex as "chiefly" what you limit it to, there are "other forms" of sex.
