Ok no one deserves to die for it but I have often wanted to strangle the morons using their phones in the cinema! I once reached over and grabbed the phone off a guy in front and threw it down the aisle, very enjoyable! Frankly I'm amazed that cinemas have not developed some sort of sheilding to negate phones entirely, then they'd not have to show those little comedic reminders about phone usage.

in those places perhaps, not where you may need a mobile to get you out of a bad situation,
Doing it over dinner is just plain rude. Doing it to text your daughter before a film has even started is not rude.
No.
i have noted people doing it throughout the film, i rarely go anyway these days, not much i find that entertaining, but i don't care to listen to others conversations in such proximity, on the bus or in the cinema, restaurants are a particular bone on contention - and rude to some isn't rude to others,
Just found this guys

Hi, all.
United Kingdom: illegal to use, but legal to own. Installation in jails has been proposed.
United States: Cell phone blocking devices are used by federal officials under certain circumstances. Privacy rights of property owners may affect the policy and application of law within buildings. Contact the FCC for permit applications and waivers. For radio communications, it is illegal to operate, manufacture, import, or offer for sale, including advertising (Communications Act of 1934).Blocking radio communications in public can carry fines of up to $11,000 or imprisonment of up to one year.[9] The Homeland Security Act of 2002 may overide the Communications Act of 1934.

think i will pass on that
Not have as annoying and nauseating as listening to those two old bats drone on for hours. Why do most women talk such drivel all the time ? Borat was right...brains size of squirrel.

No wonder you go to a men-only Club Sqad !
mikey.......LOL....now you are catching on.....;-)
Thank you for that, Mikey.
Tongue in cheek, but not entirely !

No! What an idiot! If you're that intolerant of others, you shouldn't be out in public, let alone being allowed a gun.
Don't worry, gness. We all know the truth;-)
We do, Pixie...and I know Mikey.....and when his tongue is in his cheek as mine often is....my cheek, not Mikey's.....;-)

But..some women....would be better than....most women.....I would never say...Most men have bits of them that would shame a squirrel.....that would be so untrue....but.....Some men have bits of them that would shame a squirrel would be tongue in cheek....albeit true....☺

And to the question....I feel more sorry for the shooter than the shot.... the ignorance of others can be so frustrating.
You feel sorry for a man who shot and killed someone for texting on his mobile?
I do, Ummmm....but then I don't hop between the hares and the hounds in the popularity stakes.....People using phones in an unsociable manner are a menace.
life was so much better when there were no mobile phones and social media. I get sick of seeing young parents on facebook, texting or talking on their phones whenthey are pushing a pram. the child can be crying and the 'parent' ignores the child to carry on with whatever they were doing. no wonder there is so much bad behaviour in kids these days. im not saying everyone does it but ive seen lots recently.
To a point I agree, Lozzer but I am happy to have a mobile phone. Doing a lot of late night long distance driving I felt more secure.
Using it to chat or text constantly...as you say when pushing a child or in a theatre or cinema makes me wonder about the ability of people to just be and enjoy the moment.
This is crazy! I can't believe someone would be THAT annoyed, they'd shoot someone for texting!? :-/
It wouldn't get on my nerves in the slightest.
What does mildly irritate me is when you're having lunch or dinner with someone, at a pub or restaurant, and they sit there on their phones.
It's so rude.... but I still wouldn't shoot them :P
-- answer removed --
Chewn...if we were all the same no-one would get shot for being so annoying......or everyone would get shot.

Why would I be jumped on for my views? I answered a question honestly which is what I'm sure Tora asked for.

There are abers who don't know me and some who know me very well and have become friends. Most will disagree with me but like I said....I don't run with the hares and hounds just to suit others or be popular.... I'm too old for that my love....☺
