British Jihadists
what do these British Jihadists hope to gain, apart from a possible bloody death. The woman featured is a Muslim convert, i for one don't get this desire to fight someone else's battle.

It's not about religion at all except for the latter being the "pseudo-reason" and the indoctrinated being the jemmy by which to open the safe for those ambitious for power and wealth!
We westerners have our differences in religions of various hues all of which are a load of primitive rubbish, marinaded with lots of big business and a hefty dose of paedophilia.
However, unlike the islamists, our major aim in life is not to kill as many
fellow-people as possible.
Notably there are the eternal slaughters of Sunni versus Shiah muslims.
Far from joining in their mass killings I say let them get on with it if that's what they want. I'm a great believer in freedom of choice.

the point being that they get trained whilst overseas in various methods of killing, indoctrinated or brainwashed into thinking that the country they have just left is the enemy and come back to the UK with this ideology firmly in place, so plant bombs, kill British citizens because of this idea that the west is at fault for the worlds ills.

// What Westerners don't always grasp is the fact that, unlike the average Christian believer, for whom their faith is a part of their life, for an estremely devout Muslim, their faith is their life, it is intriniscally woven into who they are. //
We get that andy. We just don't think it's a mitigating factor that they actually really and truly believe all that crap to the point that they'd kill and die for it, whereas your average christian just likes midnight mass and coffee mornings. On the contrary. It makes them even worse.

I don't think a lot of people do get that - which is why I posted it.
I don't regard it as a mitigating factor.

AOG, the problem being is that as i have already stated the two young men were law abiding, well balanced individuals, they obviously somewhere down the line had their heads turned, by something most of us don't understand, they lost their lives, and in truth the people i feel sorry for is their poor parents, they must be at a loss to understand what they gave their lives for.
